THE AMATEUR PLATFORM

Experience, exposure and opportunity

T-Rock Entertainment is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for youth and amateur boxers. Competing as part of a professionally produced T-Rock event gives developing athletes valuable ring experience, exposure to live audiences and an opportunity to build their profiles.

These showcases help athletes progress toward higher-level amateur competition and, for those who eventually choose that path and meet the requirements, potential future professional opportunities.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BEYOND COMPETITION

Gloves Up Youth Initiative

T-Rock Youth Initiative, a nonprofit organization, delivers Gloves Up as a separate community-based youth development program for young people ages 12–29.

Gloves Up uses boxing as a conduit for engagement, mentorship, wellness support, community diversion, life skills, trades exposure and job readiness. Participants are not required to compete in boxing.

WHAT THE PROGRAM PROVIDES

Six connected areas of support

Each element reinforces the others, helping young people move from engagement and trust toward personal, educational and employment goals.

01

Boxing & Fitness

Boxing is used as a positive conduit to build discipline, confidence, physical wellness and commitment—not simply as a competitive end goal.

02

Mentorship

Consistent guidance from trusted adults helps young people build positive relationships, strengthen decision-making and set meaningful goals.

03

Counselling & Wellness

Supportive conversations, wellness education and connections to appropriate counselling resources help youth address barriers and move forward.

04

Community Diversion

Constructive programming gives justice-involved and at-risk youth positive alternatives, community connection and a pathway away from harmful environments.

05

Trades Exposure

Youth are introduced to skilled trades, practical career options and training pathways that may lead to education, apprenticeship and employment.

06

Job Readiness

Practical preparation supports communication, workplace expectations, résumé development, interviews and employment confidence.

THE PATHWAY

Engage. Support. Prepare. Connect.

ENGAGE

Use boxing, fitness and a welcoming community environment to build interest, consistency and trust.

SUPPORT

Provide mentorship, counselling connections, life skills and positive adult relationships.

PREPARE

Develop confidence, accountability, workplace awareness and practical job-readiness skills.

CONNECT

Introduce youth to training, skilled trades, employment pathways and continued community support.

INTENDED IMPACT

Helping youth build a pathway forward

HOW COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS USED

Supporting development beyond the gym

Funds contributed to T-Rock Youth Initiative help support the delivery of Gloves Up youth programming, including boxing and fitness, mentorship, wellness supports, life skills, trades exposure and job readiness.

Contributions may also help eligible young athletes access training, equipment, travel and amateur competition opportunities, including amateur competitions hosted through the T-Rock Fight Series where those activities advance the nonprofit initiative’s youth-development purpose.
